How’s your stress eating on a scale of 1-10 this week? Oh, an 11? Yup, sounds about right. I’ve been digging into the snacks at an increased rate this week, and it reminded me that I’ve been on the unsuccessful hunt for smaller sized snack bowls for awhile now. Granted, we have bigger fish to fry than a perfectly proportioned vessel, but fuck, we’ve got to put our anxiety somewhere and a tiny bowl is as good a place as any.

I’ve rounded up some of my favorites from around the web for both kids and adults, and I believe I’ve finally found the holy grail of snack bowls for my own household. Read on to see which one will have pride of place next to my miniature glassware for my morning elixir.

I love everything about this sweet little bowl. The subtle indents, the soft muted color and it’s the perfect size for a reasonable handful of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish.

If your snacking skews more dignified and possibly even healthy, then this elegant and simple little container is for you. I’m a sucker for matte black, and at this price point you can snack all day long!

THE WINNER! This is it folks. The one I have been waiting for. The gorgeous matte finish, a color like a foggy day crossed with fairy moss and that definitive yet subtle angled base. I’m throwing out all other dinnerware and focusing the remainder of my 2020 eating on tiny portions of everything. Miniature sandwiches. One scrambled egg. Popcorn…that I’ll need to refill from a much larger bowl frequently. Thank you for existing tiny green bowl.

We’ve gone from the holy grail of snack bowls, to the holy grail of cuteness. If you’re looking to win parent of the year, here’s your slam dunk. You could probably load these up with unseasoned radishes and still have them begging for more! (No offence radishes, but you really need some flakey salt to be edible.)

Oh, how I love texture and neutrals, and these bowls bring the two together in an inviting harmony. I’m digging the stripes and the honeycomb pattern in particular, but any of these would pair so beautifully with a selection of fancy olives or some marcona almonds. Bring on the salt!

This little lovely was a strong runner up for me, as I have a set of the larger Mercer Grey bowls for cereal, soup, etc. The organic imperfection of this shape feels so welcoming, but also fresh and modern simultaneously. I’m also in love with the perfect grey- not too warm and not too cool.

I’m curious- which one is your favorite? And more importantly, what snacks do you plan to put in it?

With love,

Steph
