Gift Guide 2020- Kid Edition

The other day I handed my kids the latest kids’ toy catalogue, and I may as well have handed them the actual items contained therein. For a solid 45 minutes, there were hoots and hollers and “Oooh- I want that!” “I love this!!” “This is AH-MAZING!”.
I remember that feeling when I was younger so acutely. Perusing a fresh catalogue filled with beautiful/fun/exciting items. There’s this thrill of knowing the possibility exists that you might one day posses this magical thing.
The holidays are coming at a time when our world is still very uncertain, overwhelming and stressful, so I am embracing this time even more tightly than in years past. I am putting more effort into traditions, decorations and activities, and more thought into the kinds of gifts that will thrill the people I love.

It’s rainbows for days in my house, and I plan to purchase matching necklaces for my kids who are the best of friends. It’s the perfect stocking stuffer and feels so grownup for a kid to have their own jewelry. Keep in mind that this is best saved for kids on the older end of this age range who can safely wear it.

This age group is bursting with imagination, and giving them the tools for imaginative play is so key!

Anthropologie is cranking out the kid gift hits this year, and I was immediately drawn (pun very much intended) to this stamp kit. After their creations are complete, they can stamp blank cards to use as thank you notes.
Amazon Flybar Foam Maverick Pogo Stick $38.85
Circa the early 90’s, one of my brothers received a pogo stick for Christmas. We spent a glorious morning bouncing around in the snowless suburban Chicago landscape of our driveway. It was the best. Pass the magic on to a kid you love this year who needs to get the wiggles out.
